Welcome. We’ll be posting all the sets from our 2023 party (in line-up) order here. We hope you enjoy listening back or finding out what you missed.
Huge thanks to all our incredible artists for letting us share their sets. To Doug for the excellent recordings. To Gary Christer (aka Del Gazeebo) for his editing.
The Barnstormer finished with a crazy merry-go-round of Djs we called the ‘Awamu-lamu-ding-dong!… all my fault, but I’m not sorry… expect great tunes, and japes on the mic from MC Massive Danny Dan Dan Sound…
Another of our absolute favourites, Dr FancyGrrl representing Dubwives, and bringing their very special blend of funkydubstepgaragehiphopreggae(ton)junglishdrumnbassfuturegarage... see you down the front xxx
Hard to imagine Together without Dan/Johnny Clash... and he definitely pulled out all the stops (and his previously secret house collection) for this set at the barnstormer! Big red dots throughout!
The legend that is Miss Splinters made her long awaited return to the Together stage and treated us to this sublime eclectic selection.
Specular-D builds rhythms using field recordings, youtube samples and software sound design, resampled, chopped and fused back together to create hypnotic sound collages. Expect much shuffling percussion, pumping kicks and off-kilter melodies.
Straight from the swampy bayous of Deep South Manchester, Big Mama Gordon arrived to spice up Together '23 with a steaming jambalaya of blues, jazz and soul. Made up of a posse of family and friends spanning generations, the Enchanted Blues Band demonstrated the magic unleashed when a niche internet joke spirals way out of control.
Enchanted Gordon came out of retirement and jazzed all over us! And we loved it!
Keiran & Rach are firm Together favourites with a little bit of all of the best things in their record bag! Classic after classic, and still full of surprises!
Jennifer King and Wilson Freeman joined us again and brought a beautiful mix of soul and melancholy. The pair first performed together as pre-teens on the West End stage in Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s musical version of School Of Rock. These two youngsters are going places!
An exclusive recording of SareemOne's live set from Awamu’s Barnstormer party in the summer...
Tamsin brought us her usual brilliant party vibes with Liquid, Jungle and D&B, and an absolute banger of a Saturday headliner
Man of the people, and lord of Shed, Paddy finally returned to grace the decks for Awamu and we were not disappointed.
Destiny Shore always delivers the goods, firm favs and new favs galore to be enjoyed here...
We met Nico Lupo on the shores of Lake Naivasha just before we started Awamu, and he has been a staunch ally ever since. As always the party was definitely brought, and the dancefloor was very much feeling it! (look out for a cameo performance from the one and only Trish-la too! ;)
Our own resident Acid-electro group brought their usual genius mix of eclectic sounds and visual treats, an amazing show as always!
After an extended hiatus, The Legendary Jesse Belle blessed the barn with her inimitable mix of genius selections, we hope it won't be so long a wait until the next time!?
Saul returned to the Together stage and wove his magic again and whipped the dance-floor into a frenzy!
At 5 in the afternoon... with his reputation... what were we thinking...?!?
Our good friend Sh*t Bob came to the rescue with the best selection of 45s you are ever likely to hear... and with literally no preparation!
Next up was the DIY Disco, with some crazy selections, and selectors! *Special thanks to Adam for managing the chaos!
Rosa and the family Fernandez who played and sang us some beautiful songs, starting with one written in 1786...
Nibbers - in his own words - 'Recorded live and direct , as it came out : two turntables , a bag of records and loads of love (including some clangs here and there)' We say, he played a blinder!
Del Gazeebo delivers a storming set of edits from his brilliant Soul Flip label, make them yours here.
Sherrine brought a brilliant selection of african vinyl and the dance floor most definitely approved. For more check here.
Digger always pulls it out the hat, and on this occasion she stepped up and saved us after a last minute cancellation... with a lovely set of totally eclectic brilliance.
Rui wants to say thank you to the Together/Barnstormer for the opportunity to play these tunes out for the first time, and thank you listening. And we say thank you for coming an giving us an exclusive first airing of this great new music!
If anyone wants more, you'll find some of these tunes across two albums "Sun" and "Moon" on all the streamers (links on Mixcloud).
Infinite Scale brought some of his favourite records along to play for us. Sadly we had a few technical issues during the first part of his set, apologies Harmi. Don’t let that put you off listening to this beautiful selection.
Laura XOR kicked off the Barnstormer in fine style, with a truly eclectic selection of great music.
