The Awamu Together festival is an annual fundraising party with a purpose: all profits from the event go towards the Awamu charity’s valuable work with some of the most vulnerable women and children in Kampala, Uganda. We like to call it ‘fundraving’!

Our festival is a small and very friendly three-day party where we welcome friends, family and anyone who wants to celebrate life, music, dancing, great food, good vibes and enjoying a weekend away while helping to raise money for a great cause.

It is 100% volunteer staffed and run, to insure all profits go to straight to Awamu's work with women and girls in the slums of Kampala, Uganda.

So far, you have helped to raise over £120,000 through being part of our party with purpose.

We specialise in creating a family-friendly and welcoming space where you let your hair down in a beautiful and enojoy the very special setting. We are an inclusive festival, and we welcome people of all genders, abilities, ethnicities, sexual orientations, ages, religions and beliefs - as long as your belief system includes tolerance and showing love and kindness to other people and environment.

Every year we carefully curate a diverse range of musical and visual acts, with a particular focus on gender equality - something we know from experience is lacking among other festival events. When it comes to musical genres, we love to mix things up with a blend of dance music, acoustic and chilled beats, live bands covering the full spectrum from jazz to world to folk and punk, and a lot in between.
